Do you know what a moonflower is? It's like a morning glory, but it's white and opens at night! They were the inspiration for this pair of artisan earrings.
After cutting two circles of sterling silver I hammered and formed them into a ruffly moonflower shape. I played with an idea on patina and it worked! These have dark recesses to accent the shiny silver and coppery rose colors although not as pronounced as the photos seem to show.
These are post style earrings with a stone dangle.
These snowflake obsidian drops look like flowers in the dark to me. Maybe even a trellis showing through the back of them. Ah, the imagination wins!
This lovely pair are suitable for work or play, day into evening.
2 1/8 inches long from the earring post to the bottom of the dangle.
