I thought the ceramic disc beads from Marsha Neal looked like tractor treads so they were my starting point. I added a vintage metal flower on the front and dangled a colorful red and white mushroom or toad stool with white polka dots off the bottom.

As I was making them I was thinking about how we are industrially growing our food with good intent in most cases: to feed the increasing population and far off places that have difficulty growing food at all. However, what are we growing? Are we growing beautiful vegetables that are actually going to be poisonous to us in the future? We each should be able to make the choice of what we eat and the only sure fire way there seems to do that is to grow our own.
