There are two wonderful focals in this nature inspired statement necklace. The top one is a vintage mother-of-pearl brooch piece from Bethlehem. These were made by the thousands and bought by tourists to Israel. I love them for their shimmer and subject, but also because they were hand pierced and carved by an artisan years ago.
The dangling beautiful blue and cream acorn is by Julie Nordine, Credit River Art Glass. She electroforms copper caps which gives them another texture and dimension. They're one of a kind.
I created a copper setting for the mother of pearl cabochon and love the way the copper glows behind it.
The chain is steel with antique copper over it. I made the necklace tunic length, but you can adjust it as short as you'd like.
My husband said he wouldn't be able to see the acorn at his height so would want the person to wear it shorter. :-) So, if you'd like me to shorten it I'd be happy to.
33 inches of chain.
Pendant is 3.5 inches long from the top of the bail to the bottom of the glass acorn.
Truly a statement piece that speaks to your love of nature.
