I've had a dozen ideas for this sweet enameled butterfly, but while looking through my gemstone collection I came across this Polish Flint stone and knew immediately they were meant to be together. It was a little like playing Concentration (if you remember that!) where the butterfly was in a drawer hidden and yet I remembered it as soon as I saw the stone.
In any case I'd been thinking about how choices I've made in my life had led me to this beautiful life I cherish. I'm not one that believes only one path leads to happiness though. I think there were probably a million different wonderful lives I could have had and the winds of change, chance, and choices led me along this one. I also recently read Stephen King's novel 11/22/63 with the premise of what if one could save President Kennedy from being assassinated. I found it fascinating and a really good read.
Butterfly Effect is defined by Wikipedia: "In chaos theory, the butterfly effect is the sensitive dependence on initial conditions in which a small change in one state of a deterministic nonlinear system can result in large differences in a later state. The term is closely associated with the work of mathematician and meteorologist Edward Lorenz."
