There are two types of flowers I've wanted in my garden for a very long time: peonies and lilac. One of the delights of our new home are lots of lilac bushes and yes, several peonies! Our lilacs are young and will likely put on a great show next year, but the first bright pink peonies are blooming this week. Their sweet scent is just dreamy.
