A rose by any other name would smell as sweet. William Shakespeare
Friends of ours just visited us after stopping in Portland, Oregon, the Rose City. Their visit to Portland's beautiful rose garden inspired this week's fashion storyboard.
I found several natural cosmetic products on Etsy that I'd like to share with you first. First this luscious looking Paper Roses blush from Sobe Botanicals. The color is sumptuous and looks suspiciously close to the color I painted one of our guest bedrooms!
I'm fond of lighter lip glosses rather than lipsticks and this natural one in a shade they call Winter Rose is my pick from Blushie.
In the bottom right is a pretty shade of copper rose nail polish that would look so nice on my toes this summer. I'm due for a pedicure too! Pure Natural Minerals has quite a selection of mineral based makeup.
Now for some wearable clothing and accessories:
Isn't the vintage rose skirt adorable? Shelter Shelter has a lot of dresses and skirts that suit my style. It's fun to wear something that's you and not everyone else.
How about a cute tote bag? I've always loved black with roses so this French Roses bag by Gray Mountain Personalities caught my eye.
And a new pair of shoes is always something I'm excited about. This espadrille pair by Franco Sarto have just the right amount of sassy cuteness.
Lastly I thought my Shadows in the Rose Garden shabby chic necklace would be the icing on the sweet cake. I created it last year in response to one of Art Bead Scene's monthly challenges.
