A few years back my husband and I took a Burgundy Canal barge trip. One of the charming things that stuck in my head were the lace curtains that were in the windows of all the little cottages we passed. I liked to imagine what their home looked like inside filled with antiques and vintage items.
We recently moved in to a stone home that needed some privacy curtains along the front. I knew exactly what I wanted and I found them at Macrame Lace, a French company in business since 1931. I can highly recommend them for their quality and fast delivery. Now every time I look at our windows I think of our romantic trip!
I found lots of wonderful items on Etsy that might've been behind the lace and that one can purchase for one's own kitchen to turn it into a French Country kitchen.
Two Red Rooster wall hooks to hang the pretty linen towels from Repurposed Treasure 4U.
Sip a latte from this red and white Cafe Au Lait bowl from Sunday Brocantes.
Two vintage rolling pins add a warmth and a touch of red from Maggie Mae Vintage.
Take this lovely French country basket to the farmer's market instead of a plastic bag. It's from Red Stripe Vintage.
This French baguette wooden breadbox has so much character I bet it still has the scent of fresh bread! Susan Vaillant has lots of other treasures in her shop.
I love red and white linens and this set is exquisite! This set is from For the Love of France.
And to instantly show your love of all things French, this Fleur de Lys can be just the thing. Michelle Lisa's Treasures contains both vintage and new items.
