Those of us selling our handmade work online have to do our own marketing. In a sea of worldwide competition it often seems like I'm barely treading water. Getting noticed often means a lot of networking and in some cases advertising. None of that is really what we artists and crafters want to do. We want to just have time to dream and create.
That's why this morning I woke up to a wonderful surprise! Handmade Spark contacted me to tell me they were featuring my Mediterranean Tapestry Necklace on the front page of their Galleries page! I didn't have to ask to be featured. I didn't have to submit a form. I didn't have to exchange links. Someone there just thought my mixed media piece deserved to be there! (yes, a tear just formed in my eye)
I don't care what happens the rest of today. "... Life's candy and the sun's a ball of butter Don't bring around a cloud to rain on my parade..."
